I feel like i've been neglecting Buzznet.

I'm better now. I've been wanting to post stuff on here, and then i forget or i don't have time.

Like right now, i have to write an essay. But i decided to do this so i wouldn't feel as bad for not getting on here as often. A lot of stuff has been going on, but it'll have to wait because i don't have any time. Dammit there needs to be more hours in the day.

When was the last time i posted anything? Early September? Damn.

Well, here's a quick update:

- Craig's solo show was the most amazing thing that i've ever been to!

- sad about the Chiodos split thing. *sobs*

- LOVING ARTWORK, Wake Up The Sleepers, Crash Love, and Brand New Eyes

- i NEED to go see Where The Wild Things Are

- i got a new cell phone! very happy

- Halloween was awesome as always

- i actually went to homecoming and had a great time. three cheers for peer pressure!

- turns out my foot was broken which really sucked

- i love Mat Devine's blog (Raccoon Society) more and more every time i read it

- i'm losing my mind. my friend opened her locker and i thought there was going to be a cat in it. A FUCKING LOCKER CAT. i'm going crazy.

- i've decided what i want tattooed on me and where. now i just have to wait til i can get one

- i have these crazy scars on my arm where i kinda lost it and dug my nails into my arm

- i still haven't thought of a title for this blog

- i feel like i'm posting on Twitter. speaking of Twitter; it shocks and confuses me every time i see my Twitter updates on my Buzznet profile

and that's all i can think of at the moment... i'll say more the next time i get on here. whenever that will be...

 

 

This is probably totally incoherent and random but i don't care.

 

Oh! Before i forget; i was Amelia Earhart for Halloween! (i LOVE Halloween) and i will post pics when i get a chance!

AND... i get to see All Time Low again in November! And this time i won't be all alone because 2 of my friends can actually go this time! (i hate being all alone at concerts.)

Ahhhhhhhh so much has gone on since i last posted anything. So to shorten what would be so amazingly long, i'm going to post what's been going on in short little statements. Like Twitter. I'm micro-blogging in a blog. Multitasking. Not really. But i'm making it look like i am. Cause i'm cool that that. I'm magic. Like a magic marker. I'm a twittering magic marker. That's what i am. True story.

I turned 14!!!!!!

A 100-200 pound metal thing fell on my foot and almost broke my 5th toe, my 5th metatarcel, and my 4th metatarcel. But nothing was broken (i'm so lucky!) but i have nerve damage.

I got through 6 weeks of summer school! So now i don't have to go to health EVER AGAIN and i finished half of my required gym for my whole high school career!

I have freshmen orientation tomorrow. Bummer.

My hair is still blue!

I've been compulsively reading Mark Reads Twilight (So You Don't Have To). Best thing i've read all summer (i think...i don't remember everything i've read)

I've been ridiculously excited for Craig Owen's solo album! (Still am)

I've been compulsively listening to Nothing Personal. And listening to Jonny Craig's album.

I've been taking pictures. And drawing. And talking. And listening.

I just ordered Purpose For The Pain by Renee Yohe. (Now that was a Twitter update)

 

I have more to say. But i'll wait and post more stuff later when i remember more (and after i go to the grocery, cause i have no food cause we just got back from vacation. That's another thing; for vacation my family went to North Carolina to go gem mining for a few days.).

Damn. Summer's gone by fast.

These are my new best friends. Boa (kitten) and Tuft (baby bird).

I gave Boa his name because of his tail. It's crazy long and poofy, and being a skinny little stray; his tail is about as fat as he is.

Tuft got his/her name because of the little tufts of feathers on his/her head.

I feel like i've been neglecting Buzznet, i haven't posted anything in forever! (Sorry!) I've been checking out photos, contests, etc. though so that's better than nothing at all.

Ahhhhhhhh! So much has been going on lately! I'm DONE with junior high, high school (hi! school) next year. Went to the zoo Sunday, took about 300 photos. Taking P.E. and health for high school over the summer to get them out of the way (taking them right now actually). Went to King's Island on the last day of school (all 8th graders go), and got all glammed up for the 8th grade formal on the second to last day of school. Got my hair dyed blue (well the bottom half anyway). I've been taking hundreds of pictures a week and can't seem to stop.

I know there's more, but i can't seem to think of everything.

Oh! I'm gonna be 14 in a month and a few days!

So...yeah...

Okay, on April 10, 2009 i (and my dad and my friend Courtney) went Pontiac, Michigan to the Pike Room at the Crofoot Ballroom to see Craig Owens. And it was my favorite thing in the entire world. The Silent Years and Fred Mascherino were amazing. And Craig was absolutely too amazing for words. And i got to say hi to Matt Goddard (Chiodos, Isles and Glaciers). i haven't stopped thanking my parents for letting me go.

Like i said, too amazing for words. So, i won't say any more. Yeah, that's how i feel.
Well, i'll just talk.

i'm sick. Again. My mother blames it on me not getting enough sleep, i blame it on my dad being sick last week. Last Friday (Friday, March 13) my mom turned 50. She was born on a Friday the 13th as well, so it was double special. We went out to eat at The Pine Club, some fancy, expensive, old-school steakhouse that only takes cash. We've been doing a career unit in my English class even though we're in 8th grade and half of us aren't old enough to get a job. We had to take these online tests to figure out what career fields suit us the best, then we chose careers that we like, and found colleges that we like. i couldn't choose between graphic designer (or something along those lines) and clinical psychologist. i chose graphic designer. We had to write fake resumes, then a letter of request to one of the colleges we were interested in, then a career summary. i got an A on my resume. i have no idea what i want to do with my life. Oh, and we had a district-wide art show at our local high school. i got a piece in it. It was pretty cool. i have pics. i got to see my elementary school art teacher again, and she remembered me, which did surprise me since i've changed a lot from 5th grade to now. My grandma came even though her arthritis was bothering her, which made me feel important. She had a good time.

That's what's been going on in my life.
i just needed something to say and people to say it to.

i recently cleaned part of my room. Upon doing so, i found many old scraps of paper, notes, post-its, letters, and fortune cookie fortunes. All very interesting, and they made me remember so many things. Many of those things that i found i threw away. Except for this; a fortune cookie fortune that read this and nothing else:

is it odd that my father and i are friends with over half of the employees at our local Starbucks? and that when we bake or make candies we bring them over too our Starbucks friends to enjoy and they always like them so much that we get free drinks? or that if we have to wait awhile for something or they're out of what we want we get a coupon for a free drink next time? or that every time we enter we are greeted by a chorus of "hey Rick"s and "hey Claire"s and the other customer's sudden head turning and staring to see if we're anyone important?
yeah, didn't think so either.

our tap water tastes odd. i think it's the fluoride they put in it. but everyday, especially after i brush my teeth, the water just tatstes so odd. it reminds me of when i was little, walking down the street to my gradmother's house, watching my mother turn on the sprinkler and work in the garden. i would always wear my cute little one-piece bathing suit with my old worn-too-many-times shorts, and i would laugh and dance and play and yell and talk and run through the sprinkler water while holding my head to the sky drinking that sprinkler water (we didn't put fertilizer or anything in it) and not have a care in the world. i was a good, happy child, still am in my parent's eyes (i guess) would the tell me if they thought otherwise?). and one day as i was playing in my grandmother's yard, i must have gotten a little too close, not leaping high enough over that sprinkler, for it sliced up my foot. i didn't ever play in that sprinkler water again. but that's what the tap water always reminds me of, hot summer days playing in and drinking the sprinkler water.

is it wrong to enjoy being ill? to savor the feeling of helplessness and weakness? to love the lack of responsibility? it's such a love/hate relationship. i love lounging around my house in PJs and make-up-less, not having any responsibilities or stresses like school and social scenes, eating comfort food and watching my favorite shows on TV. i hate the coughing and sneezing, the constant medication that never seems to help, the hunger bit inability to eat, cold sweat and being overheated, and school work to catch up on.

so yeah. that's how i'm feeling right now, me and my common cold (i think). oh, and i don't like the fact that every time i'm ill i get really weak. right now i'm weak enough that it's straining to walk from one end of my house to the other and i live in an apartment. also that my ipod touch feels like it weighs 25 pounds. but hey, no school, and i get to sleep as much as i want. pros and cons. cons and pros. they're everywhere. well, sweet dreams.

i got my braces off! i'm so happy! i've had them on since april 2006 and i got them off on january 20th. so now i am braces-free and i have a retainer. i haven't seen my teeth since 2006 and i look so different without braces! so, yeah. i'm just so happy that i got them off!! :)

quite chilly here. -11 degrees w/ out windchill.
atleast i am leaving for florida tomorrow. i am going to crystal river to go swim with manatees, and big giant scary fish called tarpin. it's a school sponsored trip (though it's not school related and no school rules apply) and i went last year, and i decided to go again this year because it was absolutely amazing and manatees are absolutely wonderful. i will be cold but it will be so much fun. i will post pics when i get back home!

wow. i. have. no. life.
at all.
my friend and i have decided to have the longest email ever. we email each other every day atleast 3-4 times a day, and we haven't deleted the previous email on the reply. we have been doing this since december 30th. it's ginormous. and pathetic.

i am proud of myself (an accomplishment in itself). well first of all i just finished a huge semester exam on a greek and latin word parts/mythology online course that i was taking (it's only for the first semester so i'm done with it). second of all in that class i went from a +B to an F (i neglected to complete assignments & tests and stuff) and i just checked my grade (with my school district we, and our parents, can check our grades online) and i have a 95% A! pretty good for having an F two weeks ago! :)

so yeah...first post of '09 (though pointless, my first post of the year)!!
oh! and i'm thinking about getting a twitter...

happy last day of 2008! :)
im sort of sad to see it go, it was a great year! for the most part it went by in a blur, and sometimes it seemed like it dragged on forever. this year i drifted away from some people and got closer with others, but i definately grew as a person. i lost people (it happens), almost lost another (it happens too), and kept many. so many things happened this year, and a lot were for the better. all in all, i loved 2008!

i would say that i kept to my 2008 New Year's resolution(s) but i can't remember them at all. :) (oops!)
as for my 2009 New Year's resolution(s)...
1) from now on i will write these down so i don't forget them
2) find more time for myself to do more drawing, photography, and painting so i don't pull frequent all-nighters to do that stuff (like i am now, along with typing this)
3) start painting again
4) go to more concerts (i didn't go to that many this year, but they were all abosolutely amazing and made up for not going to that many)
5) be more open with sharing ideas, writing, art, and everything else with more people
6) not be as shy as i've always been

so yeah... that's all folks! i'll be sure to post what i'm drawing now (it's only about a third done at the moment) and the original, and the 2nd copy when i get the chance. :)
